Try Something Different: A Play Challenge
A fresh session does not always require a new game. Sometimes a different goal is enough.
Choose a small challenge
Try an unfamiliar role, build something with a limited palette, solve a puzzle together or revisit a game with a beginner’s mindset. Keep challenges within the game’s rules and the group’s comfort level.
Make it cooperative
Agree on a shared target that is fun to attempt. Avoid pressuring someone to use a difficulty or play style they dislike. Let people opt out or propose an alternative.
Keep what works
At the end, name one moment worth repeating. Save the idea for another session and let someone else choose the next experiment.
